I recently decided to convert my 8mm tapes from our old camcorder to DVD because
apparently the tapes disintegrate over time and I didn't want our memories to be lost
forever.

beyond to try and fix some damaged parts (no sound, no video or lines in the picture)

Jim, My brother, Russ B, had you make some discs from our family's colored slides. I
