Preserve your memories to CDs or DVDs, giving you easy access to your pictures without having to drag out boxes and boxes of old pictures.
The biggest reason for converting your pictures to files and DVD is for protection forever. They cannot be replaced with any amount of money. Scanning pictures to DVD or CDs will help preserve your photos. Make extra copies even keep a copy in a fireproof safe in your own home.
What can you do with your pictures? Just show them and store them in bulky boxes or albums. But, if you transfer pictures to files on CDs you can create all kinds of projects for parties, anniversaries, weddings, and gifts in the format of DVD shows or printed materials. These are just a few thoughts, you probably have more thoughts of your own on how you want to preserve and share your history.
Your pictures are scanned at 300 dpi and converted to files. We do not use an automated scanning process, but scan your pictures one at a time. Each converted picture file is then inspected to crop and enhance the color one at a time. Need higher resolution scanning? We can scan at higher resolutions up to 4800 dpi.
But why stop there? Show your pictures in style by adding music and other creative options by upgrading to a DVD Slide Show or Slide Show Presentation. Check out the Slide Show examples.
Resolution:
The difference in resolutions is in the number of dpi (dots per inch). The more dots per inch, the better the quality. The better the quality means the larger the file size. The larger the image size the longer it takes for your computer to load and work with the file. 300 dpi is usually the best balance between quality and file size for viewing and printing. Scanning is available at 300, 600, 1200, 2400, and 4800 dpi.
If you want to do some creative editing, over-sized printing, or archiving your photos for future project needs then you might consider asking for a higher resolution.
